About

We know that we live in a world of haves and have nots. Where access to equal opportunities is not a given. Be that to quality education, quality healthcare, or simply being treated with respect.

The Too Fat to Run movement started in 2010 after founder Julie Creffield came last in a 10K race to find the finish line packed up and everyone had gone home. It made her reflect on how fair and equal things were for larger women back then who wanted to get more active.

And so for the past decade, she has been campaigning for change, for better representation in the sport, and has used her running brand to raise the issue of inclusion and access to opportunities...using the motto of "No Body Left Behind"

During the global pandemic, so many women stopped moving. They put others first. They lost their confidence. The Getting Back Out There Challenge with Street Child is our comeback response.

Led by Julie, a team of 10 women will travel to Sierra Leone in June to take part in the craziest marathon on the planet, and back home, across the months of May & June 100 women will embark on an adventure of their own choosing while raising the profile of representation in the sport and of course raising money for Streetchild.

Together we will raise £100,000 for children around the world to access better quality education and opportunities.
